Toby vs Okara: an Okara alternative compared
Okara and Toby share an idea: an AI CMO and a team of agents that start from your website, write strategy documents, then prepare marketing work for you to approve. The scope differs. This page compares them using only what Okara publishes on okara.ai and what Toby does today, so you can pick the one that fits your channels.
Choose Toby if…
Paid ads matter to you: Mia (Meta Ads) and Sam (Google Ads) prepare campaign plans, keywords and ad drafts.
You run an affiliate program or want to start one, with Rewardful connected and Noah recruiting partners.
You want recommendations driven by revenue data from Stripe or Shopify, with the result checked 7 days after you mark them done.
You want to connect tools beyond a fixed list (any MCP server, any API, a Zapier, Make or n8n webhook) and work from Slack or Discord.
You want one plan with every agent and every integration included: $99 a month per company.
Choose Okara if…
AI search visibility is your top priority: Okara’s pricing page lists tracking of up to 15 AI search prompts.
You want technical SEO fixes shipped as code: Okara lists a Coding agent that opens GitHub pull requests.
You want an influencer marketplace: Okara’s influencer page describes its own network of 300+ creators, with rates and payments handled.
You need enterprise features listed on Okara’s pricing page, such as SSO, role-based access control, audit logs and uptime SLAs.
You want a product with published customer stories. Toby is newer.

What Okara does well
Okara’s site describes a clear path: enter your URL, get five strategy documents that every agent reads, approve drafts channel by channel, then publish through connected platforms. Several of its agents go deep. The GEO agent tracks AI search prompts, the Coding agent ships technical SEO fixes as GitHub pull requests, and the Influencer agent works with its own creator network, from outreach to payment. Its integrations list includes CMSs such as Framer, Wix and Sanity, and its site publishes customer stories, a set of online SEO tools and agency pricing with volume discounts.
If those are the things you need most, Okara is a serious option.
Where the scope differs: ads, affiliates and revenue
The agents listed on okara.ai focus on organic growth: search, content, social, community, creators, video. Toby covers those channels and adds three areas.
Paid ads. Mia (Meta Ads) and Sam (Google Ads) prepare campaign plans, audiences, keywords, negative keywords and ad copy. Today these are drafts you launch yourself; direct account connection comes after Meta’s and Google’s review of Toby’s app, and no ad budget is ever spent without your approval.
Affiliates and partnerships. Noah works with Rewardful (affiliates, referrals, commissions; new affiliates invited after approval), and with PartnerStack or Impact through the universal connector.
Revenue data. Stripe and Shopify connect with read-only access, so recommendations can start from orders, subscriptions and revenue, not only traffic.
Recommendations you can act on, results you can check
Toby’s core is its recommendations engine. Signals from your connected data, expert rules and a library of about 55 proven plays produce cards with a title, the reasons and the exact evidence (quotes from your site, the audit or your data), an estimated impact given as an order of magnitude, the effort, the agent in charge, and a first step already prepared: the email sequence, the new title tags, the ad copy. A quality check rewrites or discards generic ideas before you see them.
You click Apply, Later or Dismiss. Dismiss asks for a reason, and Toby’s memory keeps it. When data is connected, the agent comes back 7 days after you mark a recommendation done with the measured result.
Connecting your stack and your team
Toby has ready-made connectors for Google Analytics 4, Search Console, WordPress, Webflow, X, Stripe, Shopify, Rewardful, HeyGen, Gmail and Notion. For anything else, you add a remote MCP server, give Toby an API’s documentation and key so it proposes the actions you tick, or send events from Zapier, Make or n8n.
The team also answers in your Slack or Discord channels, and meeting notetakers (Fireflies, tl;dv, Fathom, or any notetaker through a webhook) turn each call into a summary in #team: decisions, customer objections, exact quotes, action items assigned to agents. Full transcripts are not kept. Note that on Toby, direct publishing to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook waits for each platform’s app review: drafts are ready and you post them yourself meanwhile.
Pricing side by side
Okara’s pricing page lists AI CMO Lite at $129 a month and AI CMO Pro at $249 a month (or $1,290 and $2,490 billed yearly), plus a custom Enterprise plan, with a 7-day free trial. Its Lite plan lists SEO, GEO, Influencer, X and Coding agents; Pro adds Reddit, Writer, LinkedIn and UGC Videos.
Toby has a single plan at $99 a month per company: all 12 AI agents, every integration, and Autopilot for safe actions with caps. It includes a 7-day free trial and can be canceled anytime. On monthly list prices, that is $30 less than Okara Lite and $150 less than Okara Pro; with yearly billing, Okara’s plans come to about $107.50 and $207.50 a month. Okara’s agency page also lists per-site pricing with volume discounts. Check both pricing pages before deciding, since plans change.
Frequently asked questions
Is Toby a good Okara alternative?
It depends on your channels. If you need paid ads, affiliates or revenue data from Stripe and Shopify in the same workspace as SEO and social, Toby covers them. If AI search tracking, code-level SEO fixes or an influencer marketplace matter most, Okara’s site lists dedicated agents for those.
How do the prices compare?
As of November 2026, Okara lists $129 and $249 a month for its Lite and Pro plans, plus Enterprise on quote. Toby has one plan at $99 a month per company, with every agent included. Both offer a 7-day free trial. Compare what each plan includes, not only the price.
Does Toby track visibility in ChatGPT and other AI assistants?
Toby’s growth audit includes an AI-visibility test: three questions a buyer would ask an AI assistant, which brands come up, and whether you are mentioned. Leo then works on GEO in his recommendations. Okara’s pricing page lists ongoing tracking of up to 15 AI search prompts, which is more extensive on that specific point.
Can Toby launch ad campaigns?
Not today. Toby prepares Meta Ads and Google Ads campaign plans and ad drafts, which you launch in your accounts. Account connection comes after each platform’s review, and Toby will never spend an ad budget without your approval, even on Autopilot.
Can I move from Okara to Toby?
Yes. Toby starts from your website URL and rebuilds your Brand Brain in a few minutes. All six documents are editable, so you can paste in positioning or voice guidelines you already have.
Which one suits agencies?
Both have options. Okara’s agency page lists per-site pricing with volume discounts. Toby charges $99 a month per client company, with no limit on the number of companies, each with its own Brand Brain, memory and isolated data.
