Toby, your AI CMO
Toby is the AI CMO who leads your marketing team of 12 AI agents. He learns your business from your website, turns it into a 30-day plan, and every morning tells you what moved, what needs a decision and who does what today. When a task needs a specialist, he hands it to one of the 11 agents on the team, and they answer right there in #team. One point of contact, a whole team behind him.

What Toby does
Learns your business before giving advice
Paste your website address and Toby reads it: the pages, the sitemap, the offer. He runs a growth audit (SEO checks, conversion checks on the homepage, and a test of whether AI assistants mention you), then writes the Brand Brain: six editable documents on your product, ideal customer, competitors, brand voice, marketing strategy and content strategy.
Every agent reads them before writing anything, so you explain your business once, not twelve times.
Writes a 30-day plan you can follow
From the Brand Brain and the goal you choose at onboarding, Toby builds a week-by-week plan with an owner for each line. It is short on purpose: the few moves that matter this month, in the order that makes sense for a team of one or five.
The plan lives in Docs, so you can change it, and he adjusts when results come in.
Ranks every recommendation by what it is worth
Each recommendation gets a score: estimated impact × confidence ÷ effort. The impact is a monthly dollar range with its reasoning in one line (baseline × benchmark rate), so you can check the math. A large idea that takes weeks can rank below a small fix you can ship today, and that is usually the right call.
Before you see anything, a quality gate rereads it: if it is generic, it is rewritten or thrown away.
Runs the daily brief and the weekly report
Every morning, at your local time, Toby posts the brief in #team: the one takeaway of the day, what moved and why, what you need to decide, and the team’s plan as a checklist. Every Monday, the weekly report: results against your goal, what worked, what to watch, next week’s bets.
Key numbers appear as tiles only when analytics or revenue tools are connected. Without data, he doesn’t invent figures.
Delegates to the right specialist
Ask Toby anything in #team, by DM, or from your own Slack or Discord channel. If the answer belongs to someone else, he delegates: Leo takes the SEO page, Mia the Meta ads, Noah the partner program. The specialists reply in the same thread, so the conversation stays in one place.
Sees everything you connect
Toby can use every connected tool: GA4, Search Console, Stripe, Shopify, Notion, Gmail, your CMS, your meeting notetaker, and anything added through “Add any tool”. Reading is immediate. Anything that writes becomes a “To approve” card.
He also keeps the team’s memory up to date: decisions, results, preferences and the reasons you dismissed past ideas. The whole team reads it.

The playbooks
- 1
30-day plan
Turns the Brand Brain and your goal into a week-by-week plan with an owner for every line. Few moves, in a sensible order, revised when results arrive.
- 2
Daily brief
Every morning: the takeaway of the day, what moved and why, what needs your decision, and the team’s plan as a checklist. Interpretation first, not a list of numbers.
- 3
Weekly report
Every Monday: results against the goal, what worked with the number behind it, what to watch, and next week’s bets with an owner for each.
- 4
Recommendation ranking
Impact × confidence ÷ effort, with impact expressed in dollars per month and derived from a baseline you can verify. Recommendations come from data signals and a library of proven plays, never from generic advice.
- 5
Positioning and offer plays
The work a CMO keeps for himself: outcome-led headlines, proof above the fold, the pricing page, annual plans, bundles, free-shipping thresholds and the next seasonal peak, each with the copy already written.
How approval works
Toby reads your connected tools freely. Anything that writes, such as publishing a page, sending an email or inviting a partner, becomes a “To approve” card that you accept or refuse.
Every recommendation has three buttons: Apply, Later, Dismiss. Dismiss with a reason and he learns from it; the reason is saved in the team’s memory so the team doesn’t propose the same thing again.
He never spends ad budget. On Autopilot (Toby and the company both set to it) he may apply up to two low-effort quick wins a day, and only safe actions run alone: drafts and posts on your own channels, never ads.
The Pause button stops the whole team at once. A daily AI cost cap and the action log keep everything visible.
Tools Toby works with
Toby can use every tool you connect, including those added through “Add any tool” (MCP server, API or webhook). Meta Ads and Google Ads account connections are waiting for the platforms’ app review: until then he plans paid budgets from your analytics and revenue data.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI CMO?
An AI CMO is a software agent that does the planning side of a marketing lead’s job: understand the business, decide what matters this month, rank the options and make sure someone does them. In Toby, the AI CMO is Toby himself: he does that and coordinates 11 specialist agents (SEO, Meta Ads, Google Ads, influence, affiliates, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, social media, UGC video, data). He prepares; you decide.
Is Toby a fractional CMO alternative?
For an early-stage company, he covers much of what a fractional CMO is hired for: a clear plan, priorities, a weekly rhythm and someone who turns ideas into ready-to-use work. He doesn’t replace human judgment on brand bets, hiring or board conversations, and he can be wrong. Many founders use him before they can afford a fractional CMO, or alongside one to do the execution.
Will Toby invent numbers if I haven’t connected anything?
No. A company with no connected tool has no metrics in the app, and Toby is told not to state traffic, conversion or revenue figures as facts. His recommendations then rely on exact quotes from your site and the audit, and any estimate starts from a stated assumption you can correct.
How does Toby decide what to recommend?
Three inputs: signals detected in your connected data (a drop, a page close to the top of Google, a channel converting far above average), a library of around 55 proven growth plays, and the Brand Brain. A second, critical review then checks each idea for specificity, evidence and a ready-to-use first step, and rewrites or discards the weak ones.
Can I talk to Toby from Slack or Discord?
Yes. Connect Slack or Discord and the team answers in your channel and by direct message; #team is mirrored there. Approvals still happen in Toby, so nothing is published from a chat message by accident.
How much does Toby cost?
Toby comes with the whole team in one plan: $99 a month per company, with all 11 specialist agents and every integration. There is a 7-day free trial and you can cancel anytime.
