AI marketing that starts from your Stripe revenue

Traffic and clicks are easy to grow and easy to misread. Connect Stripe with a restricted read-only key and Toby's AI marketing team works from what you are actually paid: daily revenue, subscriptions, cancellations and customers, so recommendations are ranked by their effect on money.

What Toby does with Stripe

Exactly what the connector does today. Reads happen right away; anything that changes, publishes or sends something waits for your approval.

What you get, concretely

Examples on fictional businesses, in the app's exact format. Numbers are examples, not promises: yours come from your own data.

CMO

Example

9 of 14 cancellations happen in the first 60 days: add a day-3 onboarding email

Why: Stripe, last 30 days: 14 subscriptions canceled, 9 of them less than 60 days after the first payment. Customers who stay past two months rarely leave. The first weeks are where Pagewise loses revenue.

Example estimate: saving 3 to 4 early cancellations a month, about $90–$120 in monthly recurring revenue each month

First deliverable, ready to paste

Email · day 3 after the first payment
Subject: The one setting that saves Pagewise users 2 hours a week
Body: Most people who stay with Pagewise turn on automatic reminders in their first week. It takes 40 seconds: Settings → Reminders → On. Your clients get a text the day before, and no-shows drop.

Example

Offer an annual plan: 94% of your customers pay monthly

Why: Stripe: 312 active subscriptions, 293 of them monthly at $29. There is no annual option on the pricing page, so every customer decides again each month whether to stay.

Example estimate: if 15% switch to annual, about $16,000 collected upfront and fewer monthly cancellations

First deliverable, ready to paste

Pricing page: toggle Monthly / Yearly (2 months free)
Yearly: $290 per year, i.e. $24.17 a month
Line under the price: Pay once, forget about it until next year.
Email to current monthly customers (after 3 months of use) · Subject: Two months of Pagewise, on us
Body: Switch to yearly and pay $290 instead of $348. Same features, one invoice. [Switch to yearly]

Affiliates

Example

Recruit five bookkeeping firms as partners

Why: Stripe customers: 31% of your paying accounts are small firms whose clients book appointments (accountants, physical therapists, coaches). Several signed up within days of each other, which usually means word of mouth from an advisor.

Example estimate: 5 active partners bringing 2 customers a month each, about $290 in new monthly revenue every month

First deliverable, ready to paste

Offer: 25% recurring commission for 12 months, a free account for the firm, a co-branded guide.
Message · Subject: Your clients ask about booking tools?
Hi Claire, several of our customers came to Pagewise through their accountant. If your clients ask you which booking tool to use, we'd like to thank you properly: 25% of every subscription for a year, and a free account for your firm. Ten-minute call this week?
With Rewardful connected, Noah invites each partner after your approval.

Connect Stripe

About 3 minutes

A Stripe restricted API key with read access only. You create it in your Stripe dashboard.

  1. 1

In Stripe, go to Developers → API keys → Create restricted key.

  2. 2

Give it Read access to Charges, Customers, Subscriptions and Balance, and nothing else. Name it “Toby”.

  3. 3

Copy the key (it starts with rk_live_).

  4. 4

In Toby, Integrations → Stripe → Connect, and paste the key. Revenue appears after the first sync.

  5. 5

Prefer MCP? In Add any tool, choose Stripe (MCP), Stripe's official MCP server, with the same restricted key.

Good to know

  • Read-only key. With read access only, Toby cannot create charges, refunds, coupons or prices. Use a restricted key, never your secret key.

  • Revenue is gross of Stripe fees. Daily revenue is charges and payments minus refunds, before Stripe's processing fees.

  • Last 30 days, up to 2,000 transactions per sync. Beyond that volume, the synced daily figures are partial.

  • No automatic revenue alerts yet. Drop alerts run on visits and conversions; revenue changes show up in the brief, the weekly report and the 7-day results.

  • Through MCP, the tools are Stripe's. Read tools run right away, everything else waits for your approval, and a read-only restricted key keeps it safe either way.

Frequently asked questions

Can Toby charge or refund my customers?

No. The restricted key only has read access to charges, customers, subscriptions and balance, and the ready-made connector only contains read actions. Toby cannot move money.

What does Toby read in Stripe?

Every 6 hours, the balance transactions of the last 30 days (charges, payments and refunds) to compute daily revenue. On demand, agents can list customers, subscriptions and recent charges.

Why does Toby need my revenue?

To rank recommendations by what they are worth. A page that brings 1,000 visits and no customers is not a win. With revenue, Toby estimates impact in money and checks, 7 days after you act, whether revenue actually moved.

I also use Shopify or GA4 ecommerce. Is revenue counted twice?

No. Toby keeps one source for revenue, the most reliable connected one: Stripe first, then Shopify, then GA4. The other tools still provide their own data, such as orders or channels.

Should I use the ready-made connector or the Stripe MCP server?

The ready-made connector is the simplest and adds the 6-hourly revenue sync. The MCP server gives agents Stripe's own tools on demand. Either way, use a restricted read-only key.

Is my Stripe data stored safely?

The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never shown again, data is isolated per company, and Toby only calls Stripe's own API. Delete the key in Stripe or disconnect it in Toby at any time.
