LeoSEO & GEO

Leo, your AI SEO agent for Google and AI search

Leo is an AI SEO agent who works on two fronts: your Google rankings, and GEO, the visibility of your brand in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. He starts with the quick wins your own data already shows, writes for people first, and every recommendation names the page, the numbers and the exact change, ready to publish on WordPress or Webflow once you approve.

RecommendationExample

A striking-distance page, with the work already done

Push /blog/freelance-invoice-template from position 11 to the top 5 Why: 9,400 impressions in 28 days at average position 11.2, but only 1.1% of searchers click (Search Console). The page offers the template and stops there: no filled-in example, nothing on payment terms, and a single internal link points to it. Impact, example estimate: 9,400 impressions × CTR rising from 1.1% to 4–6% (benchmark: positions 3–5) ≈ +270–460 clicks/month × 3% trial rate ≈ +8–14 trials/month Effort: Medium · Owner: Leo First step, ready to paste - New title (56 characters): Free Freelance Invoice Template (Word, PDF, Google Docs) - Sections to add: “What to put on a freelance invoice (filled-in example)”, “Payment terms: 7, 14 or 30 days?”, “How to word a late-payment reminder” - Internal links from: /features/reminders, /blog/chase-a-late-payment, /pricing, /blog/freelance-rates, /templates/quote
Example for Lumio, a fictional invoicing app for freelancers. Numbers are illustrative.
Title & meta rewriteExample

Title and meta rewrite for a high-impression, low-CTR page

Page: /features/recurring-invoices Search Console, 28 days: 4,100 impressions · position 5.8 · CTR 1.4% Current title (26 characters): Recurring Invoices | Lumio The query people type is “recurring invoices for freelancers”; the current title doesn’t say who it’s for or what they get. Option A (56 characters): Recurring Invoices for Freelancers: Bill Clients Monthly Option B (50 characters): Automatic Recurring Invoices, Sent on Time | Lumio Meta description (123 characters): Set up an invoice once and Lumio sends it every month, with reminders if the client is late. Free for your first 3 clients. Measured 7 days after you mark it done.
Example for a fictional company. Character counts are exact.
GEO answer blockExample

A block written for AI answers

Target question: “What’s the best invoicing app for a freelancer working alone?” Short answer (placed under the H2, 44 words) For a solo freelancer, the best invoicing app is the one that sends reminders for you. Lumio creates an invoice in about two minutes, accepts card payments and chases late clients automatically. It is free for your first 3 clients, then $24 per month. Comparison table | | Lumio | Quillbook | Paydeck | | Automatic reminders | Yes | Paid add-on | No | | Card payments | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Free plan | 3 clients | 14-day trial | 1 invoice/month | FAQ block (with FAQPage markup) Q: Can I send recurring invoices for free? A: Yes, on the free plan, for up to 3 clients.
Example for fictional brands (Lumio, Quillbook, Paydeck). Comparisons must stay factual and up to date.
Fix listExample

Technical fix list from the audit

1. /pricing has two H1s (“Pricing” and “Simple pricing for freelancers”). Keep the second, turn the first into a label. 2. 14 blog posts have no meta description. Drafts written for each, ready to approve in WordPress. 3. /templates/quote has no og:image, so shares show a blank card. Use the template preview, 1200×630. 4. The sitemap lists 6 URLs tagged noindex (/tag/…). Remove them from the sitemap or index them, not both. 5. The homepage hero image weighs 1.9 MB. Serve it as WebP at 1600 px wide. 6. No structured data. SoftwareApplication and FAQPage JSON-LD prepared for the homepage and /faq.
Example for a fictional site. In Toby, these checks come from the HTML of your pages.

The playbooks

  1. 1

    Striking distance

Pages ranking 8 to 15 get refreshed content, five internal links and a sharper title. Usually the fastest organic gain available, because Google already considers the page relevant.

  2. 2

    CTR rewrite

High impressions, low click-through: Leo rewrites the title and meta description for the click, within Google’s display limits, then measures the change after 7 days.

  3. 3

    GEO citations

Structure answers so AI assistants can quote the brand: a short direct answer, comparison tables, facts with sources, FAQ blocks with markup, and presence in the third-party lists models read.

  4. 4

    Bottom-of-funnel first

Before broad blog topics: the “[competitor] alternative” page, “[category] for [audience]”, pricing and template pages. Fewer visitors, far more buyers.

  5. 5

    Technical basics

Missing or duplicate titles, several H1s, noindex mistakes, missing sitemap or structured data, heavy mobile pages: an exact fix list per URL, and the code change when GitHub is connected.

How approval works

  • Leo reads Search Console, GA4 and your CMS freely. Publishing or updating a page is a write, so it waits for your approval on a “To approve” card.

  • Articles arrive as drafts in Content and Calendar. You can edit them, ask for a rewrite, or schedule them.

  • On Autopilot (Leo and the company both set to it), he may schedule and publish blog posts on your own site by himself. Every action goes to the action log, and Pause stops it at once.

  • Changes in your code repository through GitHub always need your approval.

Security and trust

Tools Leo works with

Search Console and GA4 feed Leo’s quick wins and sync every 6 hours. WordPress and Webflow are ready-made connectors; Framer, Wix, Sanity and the Shopify blog connect through the universal API connector, and GitHub through its official MCP server.

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI SEO agent actually do?

It does the recurring work of an SEO specialist: audit the site, read Search Console, choose the pages worth improving, write titles, briefs and articles, and track what changed. Leo does this inside Toby with your Brand Brain as context, and hands you finished work rather than a list of tips.

What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

GEO (generative engine optimization) is about being cited in AI answers, from ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews, rather than ranking as a blue link. The basics overlap with SEO, but AI answers favor clear, quotable content: direct answers, comparisons, facts with sources, and mentions on other trusted sites.

Do I need to connect Search Console?

No, but it helps a lot. Without it, Leo works from the audit and your pages, and he won’t invent traffic figures. With it, the striking-distance and CTR plays use your real queries, positions and impressions, and he can measure results 7 days after a change.

Will Leo publish AI-written articles without me checking?

Not by default. With the standard setting, “Ask before publishing”, every article is a draft you review. Only if you switch both Leo and the company to Autopilot can he schedule and publish blog posts himself, and you can switch back at any time.

Can Leo guarantee rankings or mentions in ChatGPT?

No one can. Leo picks the changes most likely to help, explains why, and gives an estimate as an order of magnitude. Rankings and AI answers depend on Google, the models and your competitors, and he can be wrong.

Which website platforms does Leo work with?

WordPress (publish after approval) and Webflow (drafts) through ready-made connectors. Framer, Wix, Sanity and Shopify’s blog through the universal API connector. For any other site, Leo prepares the content and you paste it in, then click “Mark as published”.
